Life Lately

Welllll hello there friends! How are ya?! I would say I have missed this little world of mine, but, no offense, I haven't! We've been super busy in the Slater house ever since the beginning of July. Literally, it has been go-go-go every. single. weekend. And it has been a blast!  So, what have we been up to you ask? 

Well, we celebrated July 4th with Justin's parents, my parents came into town the following weekend, we attended the Riverfest Parade, hubby and I took a much needed trip to PIB with some friends, we celebrated a sweet couple at an amazing couple's shower, we celebrated the engagement of two dear friends with a July 4th brunch, we celebrated sweet Baby Jax with the most adorable nautical baby shower, we learned that Baby O is a BOY!, we took a trip to the aquarium, T got a big girl bed, we had a great weekend visit with the Willard's, Slightly Sophisticated had it's first public show, we took a few shopping trips, daddy took a week-long trip to Vegas for a work conference (it is NOT easy being a single mom of 2!), we celebrated MJ's 1st Birthday at a pool party, T got a trampoline, Crew turned 2 months... and then 3 months, we went to the Erie County Fair, we took several trips to Cedar Point and Soak City, Justin's Grandpa Slater came from WV for a quick visit, we had lot's of dinner outings, and we had a cookout with our best friends. 

Whew. It wears me out just thinking about it, but I wouldn't have changed a single day. I love summer in Sandusky! And the good news: August and September are jam-packed too. Bring it on! 

And, okay, maybe I missed you guys, just a little bit... :o)

Crew is 3 months!

On August 6th, Crew turned 3 months old! I can't believe how quickly time is flying, and moreover, I can't believe how big he is getting! I guess I am so used to a petite baby; Tinley was in newborn diapers and clothes for at least the first 4 months. Not this guy! He's in size 1 diapers (we could really go up a size!) and in 3 months clothes. Which I guess is normal, just not what I'm used to. 

 

 

At his 3 month checkup, he weighed an even 15 pounds. He smiles literally all the time, and is constantly making the cutest cooing noises! He is getting really good with his head. He also loves to stand up; his legs are so strong!

He is still sleeping so much, it's seriously crazy. He sleeps from 10pm-7am, and half of the time, I have to wake him up for his morning bottle! He's been sleeping in his own crib for 2 months now, and he's starting to really like sleeping on his side. I know he'll be a belly sleeper before we know it!

Happy 3 months Crew Man! Stop growing now.
