Life Lately

Life lately has been so chaotic, but fun! We've been enjoying our last few weeks as a family of 3 before Crew arrives, which will be sooner than later!

Anyway, here are some pics of what we've been up to.... thank goodness for my trusty iPhone!

Friday night, we had dinner at one of our favorite local places, The Thirsty Pony. They have amazing wings (yes, I was craving hot wings!) and it's a great place to take kids! It also happens to be connected to a bowling alley, which we proceeded to walk through after dinner. We thought it would be fun to bowl a game with Tinley before heading home. Don't worry, mama sat this one out; I was just the photographer and cheerleader!

On Saturday, we spent the morning being lazy. Reading books with daddy, watching Sophia with mommy, enjoying a big, yummy breakfast, and having lot's of playtime! I also managed to get the final load of Crew's laundry done, and get his closet organized before we got ready for the day and ran a few errands. I think we're as ready as we can be for little man!

After running errands, we went to dinner with the Lowe's; another local favorite Mexican restaurant. Tinley absolutely LOVES Mexican food. She can kill a basket of chips and salsa, and devours a whole plate of rice like it's her job. She definitely gets that from her daddy!

On Sunday, we celebrated Grayor's 4th birthday, Super Hero style! We all dressed up, and even Crew man sported a cape! His super crafty mama and one of my best friends, Dawn, made capes for all the kiddos, and decorate the cake herself. Have I mentioned her adorable Etsy shop, ROAR? Mamas, you HAVE to check it out! It was a wonderful afternoon spent with our closest friends celebrating a very special little boy!

And we were definitely all worn out by Sunday evening!

This past weekend also marked 38 weeks. I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy has flown by!

I went to my weekly exam Monday morning and am still dilated to 2. If Crew doesn't come on his own by next Monday, I'm being induced Monday night! EEEEEk! Happy Cinco de Mayo to me!

I can't wait to see Tinley in the big sister role. I just know she will be a huge help. and love her brother so much! We installed the infant car seat and moved her to the other side of the backseat. I was certain she would freak out when she got in the car for the first time, but instead, she just looked, pointed and asked in her sweet voice, "baby's seat?" "Yep, that's the baby seat." "K." And that was that. She also has his name down pat, but it's more of a "Cew" when she says it. Cutest thing ever.

As you all know, Mother's Day is right around the corner!

I am doing a contest for my boutique, Slightly Sophisticated, where you can enter to win a beautiful, FREE necklace of your choice for Mom. All you have to do is send us a picture of your mama and why she's fabulous, either via a Facebook message, or via email, which is slightlysophisticatedoh@gmail.com. I'd love if any of you could spread the word, and feel free to enter as well! The contest runs until next Monday, and a winner will be announced in time for us to get a gift in the mail for Mother's Day! Who doesn't love FREE, right? Plus, you get to brag about your mama, and we'll share your story on our page! It's a no brainer! :o)

Thanks to everyone who helps spread the word! And good luck!

Another Easter Post

So I promise this is the last of my Easter posts. Next up, I'll bombard you with baby posts because Mr. Crew will be here very soon!

I was so anxious for T to wake up and see her Easter Basket. This was the first year I got to play "Easter Bunny," and I had no doubts that she would love all of her goodies. Take a look at her Easter Basket here.

If I had known she would've been the most excited about the 1 piece of candy I put in there; the Reese's Egg, I sure could have saved a lot of money! Of course, she gets it honest. They're my favorite too.

Watching Sophia in her new necklace. With her egg. She didn't put it down all morning!

After breakfast, Papaw hid eggs in the backyard so we could have a little Easter hunt. This was another tradition Justin and I always did as kids. T had so much fun! Every time she spotted an egg, she would gasp! and her mouth would fly open. I really wish I had videoed her!

And then, she discovered there was candy inside the eggs. GASP!

We had Easter brunch at the Sandusky Yacht Club, a tradition we do every year. The food is amazing, and they have anything you could possibly want. A preggo girl's dream! Mr. EB usually makes an appearance too, but luckily for us, he skipped this year. And of course, there are more gifts and candy waiting for the kiddos.

We had a wonderful Easter this year. We did everything you're supposed to do: dyed eggs, had several Easter egg hunts, saw the EB (sort of), got dressed up, and had lot's of yummy food. I don't know how next year will top it, but I have a sneaky suspicion it will, with our addition of one more Slater boy!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter as well and have a great weekend!
