Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

This has always been one of my favorite holidays, next to Christmas, of course! I have the world's worst sweet tooth, so any excuse to gorge myself with large amounts of candy is a good thing. And, I also love being creative with costumes! Here's a look back at some of my favorite Halloweens:

2008? I was a bumblebee (not so creative) and Jared and Justin were Gladiators, Nitro and Malibu to be exact. They watched countless YouTube videos and had the characters down to a T!

2009? Justin was Richard Simmons and Jared and I were the workout crew. Justin had a spray tan and all!

Fast forward a bit to last year, T's first Halloween. She was our little cupcake!

And, this is this year, just a few nights ago trick-or-treating with her favorite gal pals. She's Twink from Rainbow Brite.

Pumpkin Patch Visit

Last fall, we discovered a place called Burnham Orchards in Berlin Heights, about 15 minutes from where we live. When Justin said we were going to the pumpkin patch, I didn't really know what to expect... growing up we always just got our pumpkins from a church parking lot! So, I was a little unclear why this place was that big of a deal. Boy, was I wrong! We went with Jeremy, Jamy, and their girls, and had an absolute blast! They had all kinds of things for the kids to do; balloon animals, a bounce house, hayrides, pony rides, fried food deliciousness galore, and of course, an apple orchard and pumpkin patch. Here are a few pics from our trip last year...

Anyway, we said that it would be one of our fall traditions every year. So, last weekend, we went again. Unfortunately, the Lowes' weren't able to go, but we still had a blast with our girl. She was even more fun this year and we did so much more, including a trip to the apple orchard where she sampled the apples, and a hayride! I can't wait to see her here next fall!

A Great Weekend!

Sami's Shenanigans

Boy what a weekend we had!

My mom arrived into town late Wednesday evening, so we knew it was going to be a great weekend. Friday evening, we headed to Cleveland for T's first trip to the circus! We didn't really know what to expect, but she had a blast! She loved the horses and elephants. We had front row seats, so we even got to be IN the show as cheerleaders!

And, of course, we had to get a souvenir photo:

She wasn't a fan of sitting on the lion, so we improvised. :o)

When we got home that evening, we had Surprise #1 for Justin's birthday. His dad, Mike, flew into town that afternoon from Texas, and was waiting for us to get home! He rang the doorbell, and when Justin answered the door, he couldn't have been more shocked or excited. T was excited to see Papaw too!

Saturday, we had a surprise party planned for Justin's 30th Birthday. Nothing big because he hates that sort of thing; just our close friends with his favorite foods and beer. I'm shocked I actually pulled it off, and it was a great night!

Sunday, we had to take my mom to the airport and say goodbye, which is always the worst part of the trip. But, we got in 1 last picture before we left, and knowing we will see her again soon makes it much easier.

After we got home from the airport, Justin, T, his dad, and I headed over to the Lowe's for trick-or-treating! I couldn't wait to get T in her costume, She was so cute, and really did much better than I expected. Everyone knew who she was, even without me being dressed as Rainbow Brite! She even made sure to say please to everyone giving out candy.

How cute are they?!

I hope everyone had as good of a weekend as we did! Happy Monday friends!
