Happy October!

Happy Halloween! And Happy October. I know, it's the end of the month; I should be saying Happy November, right? Well, for us, it was a very happy October indeed, with almost every weekend spent having some fall fun and checking off our fall bucket list. Here's a look at how we spent our October...

We went to the Annual Pumpkin Festival and witnessed our first Pumpkin Drop!

We went Apple Picking at Burnham Orchards

We went to the pumpkin patch

We went to a Halloween Party

We went trick-or-treating... twice

We played in the leaves

We carved pumpkins in our jammies

It was one of the best months. All I can say is November, you have a lot to live up to.

Halloween Monster Pudding Cups

I searched Pinterest high and low for a cute (and easy) treat for Tinley's Halloween party, and after I stumbled across these adorable monster pudding cups I knew I had to make them! Only a few ingredients required and a few simple steps- perfect!

Tinley and I had a blast making these, and I'm pretty sure she enjoyed eating them too! They were so easy, and I plan on making them again for Halloween night with leftover ingredients; I had some trouble finding the short clear cups, and after visiting 3 stores, finally found them in a bulk of 100!

*My only advice when making these is to make sure when drawing the faces on, to draw them low enough so they're not covered up once you top with the Oreo crumbles. Other than that, these couldn't be easier, and everyone will love them! Try using blue or red food coloring, as well as green, for other colored monsters!

Have fun!

Tinley's Big Girl Room

Over the summer, T's nursery became a "big girl room," a big step for any 2 year-old!

The major change was her bed. Her crib converted to a toddler bed, which we used for about a week, just for her to get used to not being in a crib anymore. Once she was adjusted to that, we set up her big girl bed. The back of her crib become her headboard, which worked out perfectly, since I loved her gorgeous crib. I was also happy to discover that her crib bedding, which I loved, came in big girl size. This was a huge plus since we didn't want to change the color scheme of her room. She loves her bed, and she also enjoys helping me make it every morning. I think her favorite is the butterfly pillow!

In addition to getting rid of her crib, we also removed her cream glider, which is now in Crew's room. In it's place, we put her table and chairs and she loves having tea parties and reading books in her room.

You can see pictures of her old nursery here.

To say she loves her big girl room would be an understatement!
