5 on Friday!

Hi ladies and hellllooooo Friday!

We have a fun-filled weekend ahead of us, with a birthday party and Super Bowl Sunday. Hopefully it won't go by as fast as all the others seem to, but I have a sneaky suspicion it will... anyway, let's get to FIVE ON FRIDAY!  Today, I'm sharing a very random round-up of things.

Is it just me or does meal planning suck? Everything, from making the grocery list, to tackling the crowds up and down the aisles at the store, to coming home after a long day and making dinner just sucks. Add in a picky husband AND a 2-year old who I'm trying to make sure gets the right nutrients, and meal planning is almost impossible. But, I found this super cute printable by Confessions of a Recovering Chocoholic so hopefully this makes our weekly dinners a little more stress free. :o)

I've been getting so many compliments on the outfit I wore for T's Birthday Party last weekend, so thank you! This black & white quatrefoil dress  is even more fabulous in person! Another plus? It's not even maternity, so I can wear it again post-baby! And of course, I'm in love with those mint accessories.

The dress is from Aloha Y'all Boutique and my necklace and earrings are from Slightly Sophisticated

On Wednesday, I linked up with Ashley and Jess for the very first edition of It's the Little Things, and I can not wait to do it again next week! For those of you that missed my post, check it out here and be sure to join in next week!

We're going to a friend's house to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday, and I got nominated to make my buffalo chicken dip. It makes me laugh when I get random texts throughout the day from my girlfriends telling me they're craving it! Besides, it's super easy to make. But, I thought I might try to be festive and being along a dessert too.... how adorable are these football brownies? It depends on how domestic I'm feeling Sunday, but I just might try to "tackle" them... get it? Corny, I know!

Okay, let's be honest, I'll probably end up resorting to this because it looks much easier, but hey, at least it still will be yummy, right?

Oh Dance Moms, you are my guilty little pleasure. I got hooked back on it when hubs was traveling for work... but you have to admit, those little girls are just so darn cute! And good! It sure brings back some good memories of when I danced, and gets me so excited for Tinley to start dancing! Call me crazy, but I CAN NOT wait to be a dance mom!

So, now it's your turn! Be sure to link up for some fun with April, Darci, Christina, and Natasha! Happy Friday everyone, and have a great weekend!

It's the Little Things Link Up

When I received the E-mail from my friend, Ashley, from Words About Waverly, about a new project she and Jess, from Sadie Sky Boutique, were working on, I couldn't contain my excitement! "Why didn't I think of that?" I thought to myself! I absolutely LOVE this idea, and today, I am thrilled to be linking up for the very first edition of "It's The Little Things."

We all get so carried away with the hustle and bustle of every day life. I know I am guilty as charged. We're constantly running here, running there, texting, calling, checking and posting on social media; it can be exhausting! Sometimes, we just need to relax, put down the phones, and breathe. And take in all of life's simple moments. You know, those moments that make you so grateful for what you have. Those moments that make all the craziness worth it...

...like cuddling on the couch after a long day.

... like mommy and daughter dinner dates.

...like trips to Target, even when you don't buy anything.

...like watching a movie on a snowy day.

I know I am lucky. So lucky. And I want to try to stop each day and remember that it's not about which shoes you're wearing. Or how your hair looks. But, the little things that truly matter in life. And I hope you will too!

I LOVE having a girl. Especially one with such sass and personality. I think she has the modeling thing down pat. And I swear, I about lost it when she put her hands on her hips like that. TOO MUCH. But, oh, how I love her!

Her outfit is from Crazy 8. FYI- They're having a HUGE sale right now!

Oh Toodles! Tinley is 2!

This past Saturday, we celebrated Tinley's 2nd Birthday with a Minnie Mouse themed party. Now normally, I HATE themed character parties. But, I suppose I'm going to have to get over that being a mommy, because I foresee lot's of cheesy parties in my future... and I'm okay with that. As long as the kiddos are happy, that's all that matters!

I mentioned before how behind I was in the planning department with this party. Normally, I'm on top of things, but life lately has just seemed extra chaotic with the holidays, prepping for baby boy, Justin being out of town for work, etc... Add in a cake disaster, favors falling thru (after I paid for them--that's a whole different story!), a blizzard, and Tinley not feeling 100%, and things seemed as if they couldn't get any worse! But, of course, everything came together and we had a wonderful day. All of our family and friends braved the weather to come celebrate our baby girl. She sure is lucky and loved!

I was a little slack about taking pictures, even though I feel like I took a ton! Anyway, here's a look at Tinley's 2nd Birthday...

I ordered her invites off of Etsy since my girlfriend that normally does everything for us recently had a baby boy. I was pleased with how they turned out, and I even was able to find super cute matching address labels!

Adorable cookies made by the one and only, Wendy Kromer

Favor bags and ears for the kids. My girlfriend made the ears, aren't they perfect?!

Tinley's 1st Birthday party wasn't exactly kid friendly, so this year, I went with all of her favorites: Mickey Mouse chicken nuggets, Mickey Mouse cheese, Minnie Bow-Bites, Pink La-Minnie-Ade, and a Hot Diggity Dog Bar. (Excuse the lack of food pictures!)

I was trying to get a picture of her in her birthday dress. Easier said than done!

All the kids played so well together!

She really enjoyed singing Happy Birthday! She's been singing it for days...

Blowing out her candle!

The best family picture we managed to get...

Sharing her rock candy!

I don't think Gray was sharing his rock candy with anyone...

Sleepy girl after her party.... notice the stickers all over her face! I'd say fun was had by all!

Perhaps it's time to start planning her 3rd Birthday Party... I hope everyone had as good of a weekend as we did. Happy Monday!
