Finally Friday!

I don't know about you all, but this has been a longgggg week. Actually, if I think about, it's flown by rather quickly, but with everything we've had going on, it has seemed to go on and on and on...

Last weekend, my best friend got married. I'll have more on that later. My parents were in town for the big party, and left Sunday afternoon. Again, I'll have more about that later too. But, we all know it takes a day or two to get back into reality after company leaves and an eventful weekend. Laundry, picking up, cleaning the bathrooms, etc. Add to that a job interview, a day of babysitting two sweet girls PLUS Tinley, and a flooded basement, and you've got yourself one heck of a week. That, ladies and gents, is what our week looked like. Granted, the only bad thing was the flooded basement, but the others just make you extra tired. So, I, for one, am very glad it's Friday and am looking forward to (hopefully) relaxing a little this weekend!

On that note, I decided to link-up today with April from A Liz Adventures. I have seen so many of my blogging friends do this thing called 5 on Friday, and I decided today is my day to join in!

These tiring days have left hubs and I exhausted at night. There's nothing better than a cold beer and an episode of Naked and Afraid to help you wind down from a long day. Shock Top has recently been my go-to choice. And is anyone else obsessed with that show?!

Lilly Pulitzer is giving a sneak-peek into their Fall Lookbook, and if it's anything like the cover, I'm in big trouble. You all know how much I'm obsessed with chevron. Just look at that dress!

His Royal Highness Price George of Cambridge

I, like millions of Americans, people around the world, spent so much time waiting for that Royal Baby to arrive, and now that he's here, I am anxiously waiting for "what's next?!" I can't wait to watch him grow. I absolutely love the name, and I love the fact that Will and Kate are being so traditional, yet adding their own modern flair. I only wish that Diana were here to meet her grandson. 

FIVE

Two of my favorite things are my family and the beach, so when I get them both together, it's Heaven. Last night, we decided after eating dinner at home, to go to Cedar Point Beach and have ice cream. It was the perfect way to end an evening.

With summer finally here, we are constantly on the go! And, I'm always trying to think about what the day holds for us as I get Tinley dressed. I constantly find myself putting her in a cute outfit in head-to-toe Gymboree. This is one of our favorite stores because it's cute, it's different, and they sell entire outfits, including accessories like shoes, hats, and hair bows. And, I love the fact that you can mix and match almost anything from their collections. Take a look at some of the clothes we have from their Surf Adventure line:

We have so many outfit choices because anything can be paired with anything! I love that.

On this beautiful hump day, I can't help but be happy! 

My parents are en route to Sandusky for a long visit, two of my best friends are getting married this weekend, the sun is shining, and I've received so many pieces of good news over the last few weeks! So many of my sweet friends are getting engaged and getting pregnant, I just can't stand it! I'm definitely not trying to rush time; in fact, sometimes I wish it would stand still with as fast as Miss Tinley is growing up, but I can't help but be excited for the future and what's to come! 

Here's to being HAPPY today and everyday!

Last weekend, when my MIL was in town, we did some shopping since the weather was so crappy. We normally would drive to Great Northern Mall or Crocker Park, both only about a half hour away, since our hometown mall is small and doesn't offer a lot, but again, we didn't want to get out in the rain. So, we headed off to the local mall in hopes of just wasting some time and having a little fun. The only kid clothing store we have around here (other than Macy's, Old Navy, and Target) is Crazy 8. I don't shop here too much because I feel like everyone in town shops here too, but we couldn't resist the cute window outfits. Plus, they were having a sale!

We found some super cute outfits for T! We got a few good outfits, shoes and all, and some cute play clothes that I don't mind if they get dirty. Check out our great finds:

She's already worn both rompers and I can't wait for her to wear that cute little dress and sandals! Aren't you guys loving the mint?!

Here are some of the play clothes we picked up! I love the bright colors. Everything is lightweight cotton, so it will be perfect for playtime outside! Did I mention they were all $2.99?! Seriously, who could pass that up?!

Weekend Recap!

Good Monday morning sweet friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

When people ask me if I like living in Ohio as opposed to the beach at North Carolina, I always say the same thing.... during the summer. :o) It's the best place to live for about 6 months or so, and this summer has been exceptionally fun with Miss Tinley. 

On Friday night, after we grilled steaks at home, we ventured to Cedar Point for a bit. Our plan was just to walk around, get some ice cream, and maybe stay for the light show, but after walking by Kiddie Kingdom and having Tinley point and stare, we decided to let her ride a few rides. Ya think she like it?! 

We did eventually get her off the rides and get her an ice cream cone. She loved it! It was a bit messy though, perhaps we'll get a cup next trip. 

This past weekend was River Fest in Huron. It's like a little festival with rides, food vendors, concerts all weekend on the lawn; basically a big party! We went to the parade Saturday morning with some friends, and then back that evening to get some fried fair goodness for dinner and let T ride some rides and play. 

Sunday, we spent the day at Soak City with the Lowe's, then went over to Clare and Corey's house for a little wedding crafting. I can not believe after all this time, their wedding is finally this weekend! It will be one for the books! Anyway, here are a few pics from Soak City:

All in all, I'd say it was a great weekend with my family and some good friends! Thank goodness the rain has finally stopped and we had some sunshine. Let's pray it stays like this for the wedding next weekend!
