Link-Up Party: Summer Recipes

Gratefully Inpsired

Today I'm joining my friend, Denise from Gratefully Inspired, and sharing one of my favorite yummy recipes.

One thing I miss about living in the south is good 'ole banana puddin'! It's the perfect dessert on a hot summer day. My mouth is just watering thinking about it!

I've learned to make my own since I can't go out any buy any around here. It's actually very easy, and only requires a few basic ingredients that any momma would normally have in her kitchen.

What you need:

3 cups of cold milk
1 5 oz package of Vanilla Instant Jell-O pudding
1 box of Vanilla Wafers
Sliced Bananas (I normally use 4)
1 8 oz tub of Cool Whip (thawed)

What to do:

Make vanilla Jello-O according to package, using milk. Let stand 5 minutes to thicken.

Starting with the wafers, layer in 2 qt. serving bowl. Continue with sliced bananas and pudding until you've ran out of all ingredients.

Top with Cool Whip. You can also add wafers to the top to make it pretty. :o)

Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving.

And viola! Easy southern banana puddin' that takes only 20 minutes to whip up! Enjoy!
