Homemade Pizza!

Do you ever have one of those days when you come home and don't feel like doing a dang thing?! I know you all do! Well, the other night, I had one. It had been a long few days, and I was just tired.

I didn't feel like putting a lot of effort into dinner. My girlfriend told me about this frozen pizza dough that you just lay out a few hours before to thaw, and then roll it out and bake. Yum! Who doesn't love homemade pizza?

I was curious, so I bought some, and it came in handy! I laid it out around 10 am, and by 4 it was good to go! It's so easy to make; like I've said before, if I can do it, anyone can. And, we had fun designing our own pizza! Better yet, it tasted delicious. And, to top it all off, they're cheap! Add some sauce, cheese, and your toppings, and you have a scrumptious pizza for like 5 bucks. Ya can't beat that!

I found the dough in the frozen breads section, this is what it looks like:

The directions are on the back, but it's pretty self explanatory.

I had a little help rolling out the dough :o)

A few ingredients. You could put whatever you wanted to on top. I stuck with classic pepperoni.

Before and after!

Dinner of champions, on Fine China and all! ;o)

Even Tinley loved it!

I would definitely recommend this to all you moms after a long day! The hubby and kiddos will love it!

Aloha Y'all Giveaway!

Remember a few weeks ago when I introduced y'all to my girlfriend's new boutique, Aloha Y'all?! If not, click here. Well, anyway, she has been so generous enough to offer one lucky winner a $45 gift certificate!

I love this boutique, not only because of the people that run it, or because of their fab clothes, but because of their guidelines:

  • Keep it cute! We will only sell ridiculously cute items! It should be a struggle for Dana not to keep one of everything!
  • Keep it fresh! We will not sell last years fashions. We will only keep items on our site that are in style!
  • Keep it simple! We strive to never have more then 20 items in any category. Why should we stock 100 items that are “ok” when we can stock 20 that are amazing!
  • Have fun! Dana has always loved style, fashion, and retail. Mike has always loved website design and marketing. We want to build a company doing what we love, together!

Check out their website, Aloha Y'all, and don't forget to enter to win a $45 gift card! The contest will run through Friday. Good luck!

Trendy Tot Tuesday: Falling into Fall

Want to join the link up? We'd love to have you! Follow Kelly, Megan, and  Lindsay, and link up your post! :o)

I can't believe it's already August. Where did summer go? Oh yes, I forgot... we had 27 straight days of rain. And now, it's August 6th. And we've already had some chilly days, and even more chilly nights, which has led me to start thinking about Tinley's fall wardrobe. And online shopping.

I'm totally in love with Baby Gap's new line! The color palettes, the sweater dresses, the stripes, I love it all! I found myself saying "Do they make this in MY size?" more than once when looking! Here are some of my favorite finds...

What do you guys think? Where are your favorite back-to-school shopping stores?

Weekend Wrap-up

It's Monday again already, meaning the weekend flew by too fast! Here are a few pics from our fun-filled weekend!

Top left: Addison was in the back-to-school fashion show at the mall on Saturday afternoon, and she did great! Such a little diva.

Top right: Relaxing on the beach Sunday evening

Middle left: Tinley's 18 month check-up. She's weighing in at 22.9 lbs and is 31 1/2 inches tall. She's "perfectly petite!"

Middle right: Corey and Clare's welcome home cake. (note: it was supposed to say Welcome Home Opfers, but I'm no Betty Crocker, and had some trouble with the icing. I improvised...) They just returned from their honeymoon in Hawaii, and so we had everyone over Saturday night. We previewed their wedding video and enjoyed hearing honeymoon stories. So glad to have Mr. and Mrs. Opfer home!

Bottom left: Helping daddy wash the cars Saturday morning

Bottom left: Ready to head to the fashion show!

I mentioned Saturday night that we previewed Clare and Corey's wedding video, and I was blown away! Their videographer was a personal friend, and did a fabulous job! I could watch it over and over. I just have to share it with you all.

Enjoy, and happy Monday!

Friday Lists

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

There's just something about a Friday that makes me smile. Most likely, it's the fact that for the next two days, I will spend every minute with my little family. Weekends are the best, and they seem to go by too quickly.

Today, I'm linking up again with April from A Liz Adventures for 5 on Friday, and also with Britt of The Magnolia Pair for Friday's Love list. So, with that said, here are a few other things that have been making me smile lately...

ONE

The Bachelorette

So I have this guilty obsession with reality TV, particularly The Bachelor/Bachelorette. (Where do you think I first heard the name Tinley?!) I just watched Monday night's dramatic part 1 finale last night. Okay, so maybe this didn't make me smile... I was almost in tears myself! Poor Des. Brooks has been my favorite from the get go, with Drew at a close 2nd, and I just could not believe he left. (Spoiler alert, sorry!) I'm hoping next week's part 2 will show Des not choosing either guy, flying to Salt Lake, getting Brooks back, and them getting engaged. Wishful thinking, but hey, anything is possible in reality TV, right?

TWO

My micro pedi

My MIL got this for me last Christmas, and it's the best thing ever! Who doesn't love having a fresh pedi, especially during the summer?! Well, I do, but being a mom means I don't always have time to go treat myself. So, this little baby makes it easy to give yourself one at home! (And your hubby too!) It is super easy to work, and it works great. They sell them on QVC and also at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I highly recommend it!

THREE

Everything bagels

I've always liked everything bagels, but lately, I'm obsessed! I can eat one for breakfast with cream cheese, and one for lunch with deli meat and cheese. It's like some weird pregnancy craving I've been having lately, but without the pregnancy! So what if they leave you with little seeds in your teeth and garlic breath... totally worth it.

FOUR

August and cooler weather

I can not believe it's already August 2nd! For many people that means back to school shopping, but seeing as Tinley is only 18 months, for us, it means not many more trips to the pool, Soak City, or Cedar Point. We've had lot's of cooler days lately, and by cooler, I mean in the 70's. Granted, it's not fall yet, but it definitely is starting to feel like it. And, I can't complain. Yes, I love summer, and have had a blast with my baby girl, but I am so looking forward to fall. Football, apple cider, and Uggs... yes please!

FIVE

Heart Attack by Demi Lovato

Don't ask me why, but every time I hear this song, I automatically turn it up and start rocking out like a 16 year old that just got her license. I LOVE IT. Maybe it's because I really like Demi on X Factor. The way she stands up to Simon and speaks her mind is hilarious, yet honest. Love it. Love her. Love the song. Check it out. And, turn up the volume!

HAPPY FRIDAY!
