Friday Lists

There's just something about a Friday that makes me smile. Most likely, it's the fact that for the next two days, I will spend every minute with my little family. Weekends are the best, and they seem to go by too quickly.

Today, I'm linking up again with April from A Liz Adventures for 5 on Friday, and also with Britt of The Magnolia Pair for Friday's Love list. So, with that said, here are a few other things that have been making me smile lately...

The Bachelorette

So I have this guilty obsession with reality TV, particularly The Bachelor/Bachelorette. (Where do you think I first heard the name Tinley?!) I just watched Monday night's dramatic part 1 finale last night. Okay, so maybe this didn't make me smile... I was almost in tears myself! Poor Des. Brooks has been my favorite from the get go, with Drew at a close 2nd, and I just could not believe he left. (Spoiler alert, sorry!) I'm hoping next week's part 2 will show Des not choosing either guy, flying to Salt Lake, getting Brooks back, and them getting engaged. Wishful thinking, but hey, anything is possible in reality TV, right?

My micro pedi

My MIL got this for me last Christmas, and it's the best thing ever! Who doesn't love having a fresh pedi, especially during the summer?! Well, I do, but being a mom means I don't always have time to go treat myself. So, this little baby makes it easy to give yourself one at home! (And your hubby too!) It is super easy to work, and it works great. They sell them on QVC and also at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I highly recommend it!

Everything bagels

I've always liked everything bagels, but lately, I'm obsessed! I can eat one for breakfast with cream cheese, and one for lunch with deli meat and cheese. It's like some weird pregnancy craving I've been having lately, but without the pregnancy! So what if they leave you with little seeds in your teeth and garlic breath... totally worth it.

August and cooler weather

I can not believe it's already August 2nd! For many people that means back to school shopping, but seeing as Tinley is only 18 months, for us, it means not many more trips to the pool, Soak City, or Cedar Point. We've had lot's of cooler days lately, and by cooler, I mean in the 70's. Granted, it's not fall yet, but it definitely is starting to feel like it. And, I can't complain. Yes, I love summer, and have had a blast with my baby girl, but I am so looking forward to fall. Football, apple cider, and Uggs... yes please!

Heart Attack by Demi Lovato

Don't ask me why, but every time I hear this song, I automatically turn it up and start rocking out like a 16 year old that just got her license. I LOVE IT. Maybe it's because I really like Demi on X Factor. The way she stands up to Simon and speaks her mind is hilarious, yet honest. Love it. Love her. Love the song. Check it out. And, turn up the volume!

  1. I NEED a micro pedi! Thank you for sharing! Also we share a love of the Everything Bagel!

  2. I should have added August to my 'love list'--it is going to be Jack's birthday month after all!! :)

  3. P.S. Forgot to mention, I'm your newest follower! :)

  4. That Bachelorette episode on Monday really threw me for a loop too! I honestly think you might be right about part 2 though…Brooks HAS to win! We shall see! ;)

  5. I love these! So.... I'm a die hard Bach fan and I religiously watch every Monday night! I kinda feel like I wasted too many hours watching this season. I'm pretty sure she doesn't pick anyone. How could she! Poor girl. I too love Demi on X-Factor. She's great! Have a great weekend Kelly!

  6. I love that you got Tinley's name from The Bachelor! I always loved her when she was on it, and while at the time I wish she had been picked, it was probably better for her NOT to end up with Jake.
