One of the fashion world's most renown designers, Lilly Pulitzer, died Sunday at the age of 81. The Palm Beach princess who was known for her fun prints and bright colors, began her career in the 1950's, designing shift dresses for numerous famous women, including Jackie Kennedy! (fun fact of the day!) Her career took off in the 60's and 70's, and to this day, Lilly Pulitzer is one of the most famous stores, and is very popular with high society. I know I myself, along with countless other stylish ladies, look forward to getting that spring catalog every year, and their annual sale.
Lilly, you will be greatly missed, but your legacy will continue on for a very long time. Thank you for making the world such a colorful place!
