It seems like with the recent "springing forward" time change, things are happening backwards these days. I mean, aren't you supposed to wake up earlier and isn't is supposed to start warming up?! That's not the case in the Slater household! I remember last year, Tinley was very off schedule with the time change. Granted, she was only a few weeks old, but I remember her waking up even earlier than normal. Moms, you can relate to this: I had already lost an hour of sleep, and now my baby girl was totally confused and waking up all hours of the night. Not cool.
For those of you who know me, you know how much I LOVE to sleep. I get it from my mom and Grandma. But, that kind of all went down the tubes when I had Tinley. Sure, I still like to sleep, but it's different now. I enjoy the mornings and when she naps, I don't nap like most people advise. I take a shower, clean a little; do things that might be harder to get done with her running around the house. And like I said, lately, she's been sleeping even later. The other morning, she was still sleeping at 10:30 am. I literally went in her room, turned the light on, and said "wake up sleepy head!" She just stood up and looked at me like this:
Such a stinker. But a cute one at least! With her sleeping later, it gives me a chance to have a little "me" time in the mornings. I like to get up, have some hot tea, watch my morning shows, and most recently, blog. :o) No sleeping in these days, and I'm okay with that.
It looks like it might be a lazy day for us anyway, it just started snowing. Like I said, isn't is supposed to start warming up? I'm sure ready for it. And Tinley is too! Oh well, until then, we'll enjoy the view.
Happy Hump Day everyone! :o) xoxo
Tinley is so precious! I have always wondered how moms do it, with out sleeping much. I LOVE to sleep too. I will be one of those moms that definitely naps when my baby is napping and the house will be a mess because of it lol. I'm ready for warmer weather too! Have a great Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteThank you Whitney! You say that now, but when the time comes, you just have to think to yourself: which is more important? Sleep or a shower? LOL! You figure it all out! :o) And, you have lot's of blog friends to give you advice too!
