So many people are posting cute spring wardrobe ideas and pictures of sunny beach days, but let's be realistic here: I live in Ohio. It's 19 degrees, and is supposed to snow for the next 3 days. So, excuse me for being a Debbie Downer, but it's still hard for me to get into spring mode. (Although, I'm not saying I wouldn't LOVE to!) So, instead of posting a super cute swimsuit or pair of strappy wedges that might be on my summer wishlist, I thought I'd post some fun St. Patty's crafts I came across last night on Pinterest while I couldn't sleep.
For Valentine's Day, Tinley and I made homemade Valentines this year for our family. It was much cheaper than store-bought cards (the child has 4 sets of grandparents!), and even more important, she LOVED it!
So, I thought I'd share some that caught my eye. I know, I know, she's only 13 months, so some of them are probably a stretch, but hey, they're good ideas for the future!
And, of course, some yummy treats! Don't these rainbow cupcakes look amazing?!
And, last but not least, some cocktails, for the adults after the kiddies go to bed, including my personal favorite, the ever-popular green beer. :o)
I LOVE the 4 leaf clover with hands. I will be doing this with KJ this week!
ReplyDeleteI know Melissa, that was my favorite one too! Okay, let's admit it, it looks the easiest, LOL! Let me know how your's turns out! Have fun! :o)
DeleteThe first sentence in this entry made me laugh, lol I remember "spring" in upstate New York and I used to struggle seeing my friends in CA looking super cute while I had a huge ski jacket on...
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yes, some people that are currently enjoying spring make me sick! But, at least we get to wear cute winter clothing a little longer, haha! It'll be here before we know it, I don't know why I ever try to rush mother nature!
Deletethose rainbow cupcakes are pretty rad
ReplyDeleteAren't they fabulous! I don't think I have the baking skills to pull them off, but they sure do look pretty!
DeleteSo cute!! we do handprint crafts for every holiday too & pass em around to the grandparents...they dig hands :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I totally agree! Why didn't someone tell me this sooner?! LOL! It's so easy and super fun! We will for sure be doing the handprint clover. :o)
Deletei'm excited for a mug of green beer already. ;-) i wonder how you'd get those rainbow cupcakes to look so perfect! mine would probably turn out brown: all the colors mixed together. ha. have fun with the crafts!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for some green beer! It makes going out for St. Patty's Day and facing crowds all worth it, LOL! I have no idea how to do the rainbow, I'm hoping for some direction with the recipe.... mine would be all brown too! Haha! I'm no baker, to say the least... thanks!
Deletehow cute are the st paddys decorations! i love the rainbow cupcakes and the white frosting look like clouds
ReplyDeleteThanks, aren't they?! Most of them will probably have to wait until she's a little older. I'm in love with the cupcakes.
DeleteLOVE the Valentine's Day cards. WAY more special than a store bought card.
