It's been a long, long week...

Hello sweet friends! I've missed you all. It's been a very long and stressful week at the Slater house. I'm not going to elaborate too much, but I will be gone for a few days to West Virginia to spend time with my family, before leaving for NC for my bestie's wedding next Wednesday! I can't wait to return to happy postings. Trust me. In the meantime, keep on smiling. :o) I promise when I come back, I will have lot's of fun posts! Please keep my family in your prayers. xoxo

This weekend has already been jam-packed, and it's only Sunday, but I wanted to take a quick minute to say THANK YOU to the men and women that are currently serving, have served, and those who have sacrificed their lives doing so. Tomorrow is for you and your families.

Happy Birthday Mike!

Today, is my wonderful father-in-law, Mike's birthday! And, we couldn't be more excited that he is on his way to Ohio RGHT NOW to spend a few days with us. He lives in Texas, and like the rest of our family, we don't get to see him as nearly as often as we would like to, so our times together are always special, and very fun because he is so fun! We love you Papaw, and can't wait to see you! Have a safe trip and great day! We will celebrate soon! 

Cabo Part 3: New Friends

While in Cabo a few weeks ago, Justin and I met some amazing people! Normally when we're on our vacations, we socialize, but don't spend a lot of time with people we meet. This was not the case this trip, but I'm sure glad we did because we enjoyed meeting and spending time with them all! And, although we all live across the country, and even in Canada, thanks to today's technology, we are able to keep in touch. Here are some pics of some of our new friends:

We met Laura and Andrew (the doctors from New York) and Crystal and Mike (from San Jose, California, not Mexico) at the pool one afternoon, and we all 6 hit it off, so we spent a night on the town having a delicious dinner and then bar hopping. What a fun night! We hung out the entire next day with Laura and Andrew at the pool and talked all about our night. They were all awesome, and I wish we all lived closer!

We met Liz and Lauren (a mother-daughter duo from Canada) at the pool one day and had a great afternoon! A few days later, we spent a day with them at Medano Beach drinking at Mango Deck and swimming. We also saw them at many meals and around the hotel. They even met us in the lobby before we were leaving to say good-bye! They were both so sweet. 

Trendy Tot Tuesday: Summer Days

Happy Trendy Tot Tuesday everyone! We have been having gorgeous weather here in Ohio, and I've been having some fun dressing Miss Tinley up in all her new (and last year's!) summer clothes. Andddd having fun shoppin' online too, although her closet is jam-packed already. But, I just can't help it. Little girl's clothing is just too cute. I'm obsessed with the Baby Gap line right now. All the bright colors, the skinny jeans, the sandals, and did I mention bathing suits?! It's all adorable! Here are some of my favorites for the summer season.

Hi Walkin' On Sunshine friends! My name is Samantha and I blog over at Hooah and Hiccups!

Kelly is sweet enough to let me say hi today and... ask for your help and votes!! A few months back, Onlineshoes.com contacted me in regards to a Blogger Styling Contest! Of course, I was ALL over it!

How it works: myself and three other bloggers each received the same pair of shoes. We were all told to style it our own way and then the public would be voting on who styled the pair of shoes the best!

So here's how I styled them! 

The Naya Shoes are absolutely adorable! Not to mention they're super comfortable and perfect for shorts and a tee, a maxi dress, or really any casual look you want to pair them with. My Bubba Bear has been giving me a run for my money recently and these shoes are comfortable enough for me to chase him around! 

I also love that they are made using eco-friendly materials; cork, bamboo and chrome-free leather are among the materials used.
